professional training leads the trainees to develop in them a sense of commitment and credibility.
In the present world, it is acknowledged that the training is necessary for becoming a good teacher by the attainment of teaching competency to sharpen the communication skills and commitment to a code of conduct.It is with this vision the Directorate of Distance Education offers the B.Ed Programme since 1978 to the fresh Graduates, Post-Graduates and in-service candidates to strengthen the attributes of a profession in the form of the systematic theory, rigorous training over a specified duration, to attain proficiency. The programme has high placement records. The course structure for B.Ed programme through Distance mode is NCTE
based Model approved curriculum by Board of Studies.

The admission to the B.Ed. programme shall be based on the merit obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination
i.e., at the graduation level. No entrance test shall be conducted for admission to the B.Ed programme. The course structure
for B.Ed programme through Distance mode is a NCTE based Model approved curriculum by Board of Studies.
